NEW CONSTRUCTION

Centura Associates has been designing new facilities for clients from all venues for over 30 years and have developed certain core values that apply to new construction: 

• For those starting from scratch or looking for a new location, we have a vast amount of experience and insight in site evaluation and analysis, and look far beyond the purchase price in determining the value of any potential site. 
• When approaching new construction, we believe that master planning is an essential part of prudent design.  Many of the details included in the first phase of development are driven by long range planning that includes expansion and total site capability.
• We approach every design with the Owner’s needs and preferences in mind and are well versed in utilizing a variety of structural systems and other elements to create a functional and attractive facility while using a delivery approach that assures the best possible project cost.
• Our services extend far beyond the design stage, providing project administration throughout the construction process representing the Owner’s interests and assuring compliance with the design documents.

ADDITIONS

Much of our business is derived from designing additions to existing facilities.  We take the time to survey and obtain necessary information about the existing structure in order to make the attachment as efficient and seamless as possible.  This includes evaluating the existing mechanical and electrical systems to best determine the most practical expansion approach.

• Some clients prefer the design to mesh the addition so it becomes difficult to discern the old from the new.  Others wish to distinguish the addition from the existing structure for a number of reasons.   We are experienced and capable in providing either approach, depending on the desires of the client.
• We also apply master planning principles to each addition and the site to assure that the current addition will facilitate future growth and expansion.

At Centura, we have many clients that have allowed us to serve them through multiple additions and expansion projects.  Our goal is to earn that opportunity with every client we serve.

RENOVATIONS

Renovations to an existing facility require the most attention to existing conditions and details, particularly if it includes a change of occupancy or use.  We take the time to survey and obtain necessary information about the existing structure in order to provide a design that is built around the portions of the facility that must remain.

• We have experience in many types of renovation projects including conversions, fit-outs, and renovations ties to building expansion.
• We work with the client in developing strategies to maintain occupancy, or partial occupancy, of facilities when necessary.
• Providing thorough detail to the renovation design is key to minimizing changes and change orders in the field.  Centura’s design methods and project administration techniques minimize changes and help keep renovation budgets on track.
